Dr. Victoria Blower

Dr. Blower has been practicing optometry in Anchorage since 1985. Originally from Michigan, she has lived in Alaska for over 30 years. She attended the University of Alaska Anchorage as an undergraduate and graduate school at the University of California School of Optometry. She opened Accurate Vision Clinic in 1990.

Dr. Blower is certified to treat and manage ocular diseases. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the California and Alaska Optometric Associations. She has served as an officer of the Alaska Optometric Association. Locally, she is a member of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and Business and Professional Women's Association.

She and her staff have done extensive volunteer work with the Alaska Health Fair organization for many years. Dr. Blower is married to local attorney, David Schmid. Her recreational time is spent hiking, flying,skiing and staying fit at the gym. She enjoys people of all ages and has extensive experience working with children, difficult to fit contact lens cases and providing personalized eye care.

Dr. Ben Crawford

Dr. Crawford was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and is a 2001 Service High School graduate . He then attended the University of Nevada, Reno on  Nordic skiing and merit scholarships.  Dr. Crawford earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2005.  He went on to pursue his Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. and graduated in May, 2010. 

Dr. Crawford is very excited to be back in Alaska to provide the community he grew up in with comprehensive eye and vision care. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and especially enjoys the challenges of managing ocular disease and contact lenses.  When Dr. Crawford is not in the office he is taking advantage of all the activities Alaska has to offer. Most likely you will see him skiing, running, biking, camping, and fishing. 

Bao

Bao has been with us since 2005 and has 10+ years of experience in the eyecare field. Her energy and joy is very catching and you may find yourself wondering how such a small package could be so bubbly.
Bao is our go-to person - she can do it all. She is skilled in patient screening, eyewear selection, and eyewear fabrication and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Bao has three beautiful children and a large, loving extended Hmong family that fill her days.

Cyndie

Cyndie joined our team in July of 2010 and has over 5 years of experience in the optical field. You will enjoy her sweet demeanor and willingness to help.
As a technician and optician as well as a contact lens expert you will find Cyndie pre-screening, running diagnostic tests, teaching contact lens classes AND helping patients with their selection of eyewear. She enjoys all aspects of her job here and is happy to assist you with all your optical needs.
After a long absence outside the state of Alaska due to her husband's military service, she is very happy to be settled back in our great state, enjoying the outdoors and beauty of Alaska.
Cyndie has three beautiful children, a handsome husband and a young, exuberant Yorkshire Terrier with whom she loves to spend her time.

Roz

Roz has been with Dr. Blower since 1997, successfully assisting patients with their eyewear needs. We all appreciate Roz's dedicated years of service to our clients. Patients enjoy her friendly smile, professional manner and willingness to please. She has extensive training and experience in tailoring your eyewear needs to your environment. She is an integral part of our dispensary. Roz is certified through the American Board of Opticians and has been in the eye care field and lived in Anchorage with her family for over 30 years.

Kasey

Kasey is our billing specialist and we all appreciate the time and effort that she takes to do a very demanding job. Her humor puts us in a light mood whenever she finds her way to the front area.
Kasey moved from Soldotna, Alaska to join the AVC team in April of 2009 as the Front Office Coordinator. She did wonderful work in this position until she was promoted to our Billing Specialist. Now you can find her in the back office working hard on billing insurance.
Kasey has lived in Alaska all her life, residing mostly on the Kenai Peninsula.

Yee

Yee joined Accurate Vision Clinic with the sunny spring - the beginning of June - and we are glad to have her. Yee has many years of experience in the optometric field and we hope she continues to grow and learn with our office for a long time. She has a wonderful husband and 5 loving kids that keep her busy when she is not working very hard here at work.
